The AzeeMed Crane-Kaplan Scaler is a stout hand-held periodontal tool which is useful in the scaling of heavy calculus deposits from tooth surfaces and surfaces generally in areas supragingival and accessible subgingival. It is characterized by a sturdy, angulated terminal working-end which incorporates cutting edges that effectively facilitate the removal of heavy calculus in areas deep or difficult to access within the oral cavity. The scaler is manufactured from stainless steel which provides a high degree of durability, corrosion-resistance and is completely sterilizable. The construction permits adequate leverage and control over calculus deposits that are adherent. The ergonomic handle is satin in its finish; this permits the clinician an effective, non-slip grip and reduces light reflection beneath the typical dental operatory lights.
