Hydrodissection is the process of separating the lens cortex from the capsule, under which the lens nucleus is free to rotate and be removed from the eye. Pearce hydrodissection cannula is made generally of very high quality stainless steel and its size generally depends on the manufacturer but typically it ranges from 23-27G (gauge).
