The AzeeMed 2H Explorer is a diagnostic instrument used for thorough examination of the tooth surfaces. It has a slender and sharp curved working tip. Working end of the explorer is very sharp to get good tactile sensation for detecting aberrations. It is used mainly for detecting caries, calculus and irregularities on the surface of teeth. The explorer has very smooth tactile feel which helps to diagnose the early lesions in the pits, fissures, and proximal surfaces and for the checking of margins of restorations. Usually 2H Explorer is made of high grade stainless steel that gives it strength and corrosion resistance and it can be sterilized by any method.
